PacBio and EpiCypher Launch Fiber-seq, a New Look at Gene Regulation

PacBio and EpiCypher announced a strategic alliance within the PacBio Compatible program that incorporates EpiCypher's CUTANA® Hia5 enzyme into PacBio's Fiber-seq assays with HiFi sequencing, compatible with both the Revio and Vega systems. This single-molecule, multi-omics genomics approach enables simultaneous measurement of chromatin accessibility, DNA methylation, and DNA variation in single molecules.

Fiber-seq differentiates itself from traditional methods such as ATAC-seq by revealing the connections between multiple genetic and epigenetic features in a single test, offering a deeper look into how gene expression is regulated and how this impacts health, advancing research in rare diseases and cancer.
